It's a tragedy...

I just learned that that new comer in my lab, has the same birthday as me! So first response: "Oh! It's a tragedy..."

That guy is a mainlander, but did his master in material science in US. I don't know why he chose to re-do his master. But he's rated the guy with the most fluent speaking guy.
