Randon Thought...

This blog has been around for more than 2 years! To be exact, it's turning 2 years 3 months by the end of the month. What have I been doing for this 2 years? master? research? or just simlply enjoying my life? My answer to this will be "changes... and changes..."
I've been changing my research area, focus, even my life objective.

to be continued...

My feeling in words....

I always had this kind of feeling. Finally someone put it in words while I was reading through some forum:

I consider going to grad school is a process, not just an achievement. It is a process of learning how we see this world.

3 things that cheered me up a bit(for 5 min)

  1. When I was having my `late lunch'. The canteen is not fully packed, just that every row of the tables eat someone. When I'm half way finishing my bowl of "Yun Nan Mian", someone put her tray directly in front of me, then went to get her eating utensils. I beeped at her books and I saw some notes on UNIX, so I know, "oh, she's going for some exam after this... but why in front of me, make me feel so awkward..." Later, another come, sat BESIDE me and talk diagonally. I was about to go that time. But why do they attack me??
  2. *forgot what is it*
  3. When I went to Mong Kok area to collect my credit card starter gift (Palm m505). Someone at the MTR station stopped me with his business card, from some advertisement company. I wanted to just take the card and go, cos I know they are just cheating your $$$ to go for courses. He insisted that I give him my number. I get irritated and asked him what they are doing... in the end I jst said no...

Being suan'ed by prof supt.

Got the reply from prof supt: ``It is no problem for me to give recommendation for your application to graduate schools in US. However, I noticed that your have applied to all the top US universities whcih are expremely competitive. I'll try my best to help you, but hope that you have contingent plan in case none of these univerisities take you. Best wishes.''

Heavy Headache...

After so many unpleasant events happened in the month. I finally sat for TOEFL again this morning. I got 1 more question correct for listening and structure, 3 more for reading. I can't say the result is pleasant, but encouraging. I had a heavy headache this morning, when I sat for the test. Thought to myself, "you are going to waste another HKD 1000." Out of the 4 passages, one passage appeared again from my first test. Is it because I sat for it too often, or I'm just lucky?

P.S. During the test, my things kept fleshing across of mind. I though I'm not going to make it.

A Zombie that I am...

I used to describe myself as XN'ish. I guess I got to take that back. Even XN now knows how to keep track of the moeny matter (e.g. go home early while the bus service is still running... etc.) I don't know what I'm doing though. I think the word zombie can better describe me.
