What I think is: Past reason is that people need to get more $$$, so do postgrad. Now it's the other way round, they dunno whether they can get a job, so they apply for postgrad first. So they use it for the last resort if they can't get a job. Secondly, market rate for comp sc grad droped by 1/3 in the past few years. From the top HK$15000 to now only HK$8000 - HK$9000. News always report say that Uni grad going for a HK$2500 position. So doing a postgrad can at leadt guarentee then something. I think, NUS got so many foreign student is because NUS recruit many 'foreign talent'. Saw in news few days ago, HK only started a few years back.
